Graduated with a Master’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Microbiology (MNHN, Paris), I am now pursuing a PhD on the acclimation capacities of microalgae to low light conditions in the oceans. To this end, I work with the picoalga pelagophyte Pelagomonas calceolata, used as a model species for photosynthetic picoeukaryotes, and study its physiological and molecular responses to changes in light, focusing on light-sensitive genes and photosynthetic pigments. In my work, I combine controlled laboratory experiments with the analysis of metatranscriptomic data from Tara Oceans and Tara Pacific.
