After graduating from a biology bachelor (Lille, 2023), I’m currently achieving a Master degree in microbiology (Nancy). As a part of the latter, my intersheep at LAGE-Genoscope leads me to study Pelagomonas calceolata, under the supervision of Chloé Seyman. This picoalga performs photosynthesis despite the very low light levels in its environment. My work focuses more specifically on the study of the pigment 19Bfx, a photosynthetic pigment particularly abundant when Pelagomonas is exposed to low blue light. The aim of my work is therefore to explore different conditions, such as exposure to various light colors, metal concentrations, temperature, and to measure their effects on the biosynthesis of 19Bfx.
